Trio de Janeiro bring global music to life in vibrant instrumental colors. As their music traces trading routes of silk & spice, the trio holds a special place in their repertoire for the land of coffee & cane, particularly for the urban Brazilian choro and the rural Brazilian forró.
Hailing from Britain, Russia, and Japan, the musicians of Trio de Janeiro have collectively dived deeply into the music of South America, North America, Ethiopia, Japan and the Middle East, and created a sound all their own.
